Marsman Music is a community oriented music school committed to delivering excellent music lessons, great customer service, and bringing out the best in our students. We offer private lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, vocals, stringed instruments and wind instruments. Marsman has delivered quality lessons in the community for over 10 years and we look forward to another decade of successful community service.
Since opening our doors in 2008, we have been committed to helping hundreds of students begin and continue on their musical journey. Marsman Music provides a unique and highly personalized method of learning, creating an environment to nurture, educate and encourage creative individuals to achieve the highest level of success. Our staff consists of experienced music teachers who are capable of teaching all ages and levels, from pre-schoolers to retirees.
My son was always opposed to taking music lessons. He was never willing to put in the time and complained that playing piano wasn’t “cool”. The instructors at Marsman took the time to learn about him and his interests and included challenging pieces music ranging from classical pieces to cartoon and Nintendo theme songs that have enticed him to want to play.
Marsman is by far our music school of choice. I have taken guitar lessons there and my daughter is in the music for young children program which I’ll probably enroll my youngest daughter in next year. They have something for the whole family. Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.
Our optional recitals are low-stress and provide a great opportunity to share music with others, and to experience musical progress. In January and June many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. We hold these at the Melville Presbyterian Church within minutes of Marsman.
For our individual lessons, instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients enjoy a waiting area with comfortable chairs, kids toys, magazines and free Wi-Fi. We also provide observation windows on every door so that you can watch your child’s lesson while you wait. Or if you prefer you can sit in on their lesson anytime you like.
