Music Camps

Camps That Strike the Right Chord

ANNOUNCING for 2026...

Marsman Music Makers Summer Camps!

Get ready to make some music this summer! Our Music Explorer Day Camp is a fun, engaging, hands-on week designed specifically for kids ages 6 to 11. Whether they’re total beginners or budding virtuosos, this is the place to play, create, and make some music.

Three Instruments, One Amazing Week

Campers won't just learn one way to play—they’ll explore three! Every day, we’ll dive into:

The Ukulele: Learn some easy, fun chords and strum along to favourite hits.

The Piano: Play on the keys and discover the magic of melody and harmony.

The Recorder: Develop breath control and sight-reading through fun, collaborative songs.

Beyond the Sheet Music

We believe music is about more than just practice; it’s about creation. Our daily schedule includes:

Music Crafts: From DIY percussion to decorating personalized songbooks.
Songwriting & Creation: Campers will work together to compose their very own "Camp Anthem."
Rhythmic Games: High-energy activities that build timing and teamwork.

Cool off and Celebrate

We know it’s summer, so we’re bringing the heat and the cool:

Water Play Day: Grab your towels! We’re heading outside for a mid-week splash to stay refreshed and energized.
Friday Pizza Party: We’ll wrap up our musical journey with a legendary pizza lunch to celebrate all the new skills learned.

Book a Discovery Lesson

Let us find the right teacher for you or your child(ren)
and help you discover your own musical ability.

Month to Month Lessons

Marsman does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis. If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.

Marsman Music gives back - donations and discounts

We give back to the community in the form of donations to community and school events. We support local food banks with annual food donations and local schools including Wm. G. Miller, Charlottetown Public School. We are also proud to partner with community organizations such as the Centennial Community and Recreational Association (CCRA).  We also offer family discounts as we want to make music education as affordable and accessible as we can. Our referral program gives you the opportunity to receive additional lesson discounts and entries into our quarterly prize draw. As a benefit of being a Marsman student, you’ll receive our monthly newsletter which features information about special events, quarterly contests and Marsman member news.

Convenient Location

Just minutes off of the 401, Marsman Music is convenient to residents in Scarborough and Pickering. Want to do some grocery shopping while your child is in a lesson? Coppa’s Fresh Market is just next door, as well as a pet store and a pharmacy on the other side. Click for our contact info and map.

Music recitals twice a year

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.

Our optional recitals are low-stress and provide a great opportunity to share music with others, and to experience musical progress. In January and June many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. We hold these at the Melville Presbyterian Church within minutes of Marsman.

A comfortable parent's lounge for our clients

For our individual lessons, instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients enjoy a waiting area with comfortable chairs, kids toys, magazines and free Wi-Fi. We also provide observation windows on every door so that you can watch your child’s lesson while you wait. Or if you prefer you can sit in on their lesson anytime you like.

Play the music you want to learn

We help you achieve your musical goals. Our music instructors teach a wide range of musical styles including classical, folk, pop, rock, musical theatre, jazz and sacred music. Your music lessons are tailored to fit your goals and interests.
